Summer Vacation: Rome

Well, school is out and I just can't believe that summer is actually here. It seems like just last week that I was working at Southland in Louisiana, but in reality it was a year ago! Wow. Anyway, I'm in the midst of a summer school course on Baptist History at Northland. I mean... I'm in Rome, visiting the Colosseum with Leann. We are having an awesome time! I was invited to preach the gospel from an independent, fundamental, Calvinist, Baptist perspective at the Vatican today. After I'm done, they wanted Leann to give a piano recital as well. We're pretty excited about these opportunities. I'm not sure where we'll head next after we see some more of these sites. It is so awesome to finally be in Rome! But don't worry, I'll keep you posted.

Reading your post brings one word boldly into my mind: DORK. You, my darling brother, are a dork. But I missing being a dork with you. I wish I could be in Rome, too. Kiss the pope for me, please.

Sure looks like Mom to me. Sounds like her, too. Peej, what's your take on this matter (microphone shoved in front of face)?

Well, Jen. It's interesting that you would ask that. What I failed to mention in the post (I just didn't think the obvious was necessary to mention) was that mom was the one taking the picture! Who else could take such an awesome photo? I think you might have been fighting off a gladiator in the Colosseum at the time or getting us drinks from the concession stand. You're such a servant! Anyway, I'm glad we all had such a good time on this trip.

if anyone is offended because they weren't included in this trip, please feel free to include yourself in it in some way via a comment on this post or any other genuine summer vacation post that might come in the future: where were you in this picture?

What do you mean, Al? There's nothing in those two things that conflict.
